Launch Report for Saturday, September 8th, 2001
(Salvo 12)
Kemal's unknown scratch built rocket on an
Estes D12-5
| This very cool
looking rocket was next on a D12-5 for a great flight and a closer
recovery to the pad than some, landing about 300 feet east of the
pad. As it came down on its chute the rocket was spinning and
someone commented that it was generating power like a windmill. :) |

Isabel
Deslauriers' Estes Space Shuttle on an Estes C6-3
| Isabel's Space
Shuttle was next up on a C6-3 for a very nice flight although the glider
had trouble in these breezy conditions. Both booster and glider
landed in the bean field east of the pad. |

Estes AIM-9 Sidewinder on an Estes
B6-4
| The Sidewinder
that flew earlier today made another flight on a B6-4 for another
gorgeous flight and with the winds continuing to diminish, it landed in
the northeast direction close to the launch area. |

Sylvain
Gagnon's Estes Saturn V on an Aerotech E15-4W
| This flight was a
sad event since Saturn V's take so much time to build... Sylvain's
Saturn took the sky on an E15-4 after a misfire on the previous salvo,
but this one clearly had a "bonus delay" and the beautifully
finished Saturn V lawn darted into the bean field. |
