Launch

Launch Report for Saturday, September 8th, 2001
(Salvo 15)

Sylvain Gagnon's contest rocket on an Aerotech F50

Sylvain's contest rocket was first in this salvo with a flight on an F50 which seemed to be a better choice for this rocket than the F25 that it flew on earlier.  There was less weathercocking and it landed a short walk from the launch area.

Yves Lacombe's Aerotech Arreaux on an Aerotech E15-4W

As at every launch, Yves' Aerotech Arreaux made a flight on an E15 and as at every launch, it was a perfect flight.  Yves commented that this one had gone up roughly 50 times before.

Kemal's unknown scratch built rocket on an Estes D12-5

Another one of Kemal's scratch builts was up next on a D12-5 with a great flight and a landing next to the highway.

Dominique Martel's LOC/Precision Onyx (stretched) on an Aerotech E30-4T

Dominique's stretched Onyx that flew earlier in the day went up again on another E30.  On board payload was an altimeter although I don't know if he used it to deploy his chute or just to get an altitude reading.  Unfortunately, I didn't catch the brand of the altimeter.
