Launch Report for Saturday, September 29th, 2001
(Salvo 2)

Marc Ouellette's Aerotech I211 static firing

Marc treated us all to a static firing of an I211 and it was LOUD!  At its widest point, I'd say the flame was about a foot wide.  The smoke cloud generated by this motor blew and dispersed in the northwest direction and covered a huge area as can be seen by the last photo in this sequence.

Jacques Beauséjours' Estes Tomcat on an Estes C5-3

Time at Liftoff: 12:34:15
Flight Duration in Seconds: 10
Jacques' Estes Tomcat took to the air on a C5-3 for a perfect boost and a nice glide, flying towards the the parking area and then banking around to come back just before it landed.  I love this rocket! :)

Jean-Denis Rivet's LOC/Precision LOC IV on an Aerotech F50-4T

Time at Liftoff: 12:35:09
Flight Duration in Seconds: 20
Jean-Denis' LOC IV was up next on an F50-4.  Nice boost and still smokin' on its way down.  It carried a beeper onboard to help ensure its retrieval, but it landed quite close to the pad for what we affectionately call "un vol paresseux" or "a lazy flight" in English since we don't have to walk far to get the rocket back.

Sylvain's Estes Skywinder on an Estes C6-3

Time at Liftoff: 12:35:46
Flight Duration in Seconds: 29
Sylvain was up next with his Estes Skywinder on a C6-3 for a great flight and a landing not too far northwest of the pad.

Carroll Garayt's Estes Big Bertha on an Estes B6-4

Time at Liftoff: 12:36:52
Flight Duration in Seconds: 34
Carroll's nicely painted Estes Big Bertha was up next on a B6-4.  As is usual with Big Bertha's, this rocket made a gorgeous flight and landing.
