(Salvo 6)
Jacques Beauséjours'
LOC/Precision Vulcanite on an Aerotech F25-6W
| Time at Liftoff: |
14:17:45 |
| Flight Duration in Seconds: |
45 |
| Jacques' LOC
Vulcanite was up next on an F25-6 for a kick-ass flight and a still
smokin' descent. Landing was roughly 500 feet west of the pad and
well within the recovery area.. |

Jacques Beauséjours' Estes Little Joe II on an
Estes A3-4T
| Time at Liftoff: |
14:18:53 |
| Flight Duration in Seconds: |
30 |
| Jacques' Little
Joe II made a short and sweet but cool flight on an A3-4T, narrowly
avoiding the corn field behind the launch area and northwest of the
pad. No matter how many big rocket I get to see fly, I never get
tired of the little ones and apparently neither does Jacques since he
always flies a good mix of large & small rockets, new & old. |

Anthony Brohan's Estes Viking on an Estes
C6-7
| Time at Liftoff: |
14:19:50 |
| Flight Duration in Seconds: |
31 |
| Anthony's trusty
Viking made yet another flight on a C6-7 and it looked for a moment that
his luck might be running out in terms of always getting this little
vehicle back, but like Jacques' Little Joe II, the Viking just narrowly
avoided that corn field to the northwest. This rocket lives to fly
yet again. I believe that this was the only rocket to fly more
than twice today. |

Marc Ouellette's contest rocket
on an Aerotech F50-6T
| Time at Liftoff: |
14:21:05 |
| Flight Duration in Seconds: |
33 |
| Marc launched his
contest rocket on an F50-6 for a spot landing attempt. A great
flight with a landing not so far away from that pylon marking the
landing zone. I find this design to be a particularly good one
since the fins are large enough to keep the rocket stable, small enough
to avoid weathercocking, the airframe is about the right length where a
six second delay makes it a perfect choice, and the F50 gives it a
decent amount of speed to further avoid weathercocking. Very nice
finish too! |

Jean-Denis Rivet's LOC/Precision Hi-Tech H45 on an
Aerotech F25-6W
| Time at Liftoff: |
14:22:06 |
| Flight Duration in Seconds: |
83 |
| On my pad was
Jean-Denis' LOC Hi-Tech H45 on an F25-6 for a very spectacular flight
that sailed a bit past apogee before deploying and a very long drift in
the light breeze with a landing just before the corn field to the west. |
