A3maQ

Launch

Launch Report for Saturday, September 29th, 2001
(Salvo 10)

Flight 604, 123rd flight this year
Keith Bedard's Aerotech Mirage on an Aerotech F50-4T for its 2nd flight

Time at Liftoff: 15:29:52
Flight Duration in Seconds: 32
My Aerotech Mirage started off this salvo with a short flight on an F50-4.  The bottom third of this Mirage is from a new one that I bought since I lost the bottom half of the original one at my first A3maQ launch last year.  As expected, this rocket arced over at apogee and picked up a bit of speed before deployment and it landed a short distance south of the pad.

Estes Mosquito on an Estes A10-3T

Time at Liftoff: 15:31:59
Flight Duration in Seconds: ??
Next up was the smallest rocket that flew today... the Estes Mosquito on an A10-3T.  Super quick boost, with no recovery as expected.

Jacques Beauséjours' Estes Bomarc on an Estes C6-3

Time at Liftoff: 15:33:05
Flight Duration in Seconds: 18
Jacques' vintage Estes Bomarc was next on a C6-3 which had a very cool boost going into a powered glide before deploying its chute for a nearby landing.

Richard Sylvain's scratch built Tin Tin rocket on an Aerotech E30-4T

Time at Liftoff: 15:34:08
Flight Duration in Seconds: 20
Richard's beautiful Tin Tin rocket made its usual perfect flight on an E30-4 with a landing about 100 feet southwest of the pad.

Jacques Beauséjours' Aerotech Mustang on an Aerotech E15-4W

Time at Liftoff: 15:34:46
Flight Duration in Seconds: 36
Jacques sent up his Aerotech Mustang next on an E15-4 for its second flight of the day with a perfect boost and nearby recovery northwest of the pad.  Aerotech recommends an E15-7 for this rocket, but I've always found these to fly better on E15-4's.

Carroll Garayt's Estes Big Bertha on an Estes C6-5

Time at Liftoff: 15:35:43
Flight Duration in Seconds: 62
Also  going up for its second flight of the day was Carroll's Estes Big Bertha this time on a C6-5 for another picture perfect flight.
