Launch Report for September 22nd(?), 1981
(Written on Saturday, January 22nd, 1999)

Today was to be a great day for me for flying since I would be doing my first two stage flight ever.  It was late afternoon after school and the skies were sunny and the winds were coming in out of the west at about 10 mph.  I brought my launch controller and pad that came with my Estes Challenger 1 rocket.

Flight 21, 21st flight this year
Estes Delta Star on an Estes A8-0 staging to an Estes A8-5 for its 2nd flight
This flight was basically a carbon copy of Delta Star's first flight.  The upper stage immediately went unstable after stage separation.  This rocket had a problem that I was going to have to solve if I ever wanted to fly this rocket again.
