24th flight this year

Estes Alpha III /2
on an Estes A10-3T for its 18th flight

Time at Liftoff::

17:37:12

Flight Duration in Seconds: 23
Landing Distance in feet from the pad: 118 west northwest
My second of three Alpha III's went up on an A10-3T from my Estes Porta Pad #3 that was set up with a 1/8" launch rod to test wind conditions at altitude.  Very nice flight and not too distant a landing.

25th flight this year

Estes Alpha III /2
on a Quest A6-4 for its 19th flight

Time at Liftoff::

17:45:39

Flight Duration in Seconds: 21
Landing Distance in feet from the pad: 25 north northeast

I sent the Alpha III #2 up again, this time on a Quest A6-4 and I adjusted the launch angle to about 7 degrees to compensate better for the wind.  With a landing at 25 feet from the pad, I couldn't ask for better than that!

Flight#

26th flight this year

Estes Maniac
on an Estes C6-3 for its 27th flight

Time at Liftoff::

17:51:33

Flight Duration in Seconds: 0
Landing Distance in feet from the pad: 0
Next up was my old Estes Maniac on a C6-3.  It snagged on the launch rod and it never even moved let alone got off the ground all the while burning a hole through the blast deflector!  This had never happened to me before.  I guess it's time for me to clean up that old 3/16" rod!

27th flight this year

Estes Maniac
on an Estes C6-3 for its 28th flight

Time at Liftoff::

17:58:43

Flight Duration in Seconds: 19
Landing Distance in feet from the pad: 56 North northwest

I moved the Maniac to the Porta Pad #3 and launched it from there for a nice flight & nearby landing.

Flight#
768

28th flight this year

Estes Big Daddy
on an Estes D12-3 for its 5th flight

Time at Liftoff::

18:05:29

Flight Duration in Seconds: 1
Landing Distance in feet from the pad: ~8

This shocker made my wife jump when an Estes D12-3 (date code 26 A 2) CATOed in my Estes Big Daddy.  The bottom part of the rocket splintered into a million pieces as the burning propellant grain shot off the nose cone and into the air as it burned it itself out.  As I flew other rockets throughout the evening, I was picking up pieces of cardboard & balsa as I saw them.

Flight#
769

29th flight this year

Estes America /2
on a Quest A6-4 for its 6th flight

Time at Liftoff::

18:14:49

Flight Duration in Seconds: 21
Landing Distance in feet from the pad: 110 West northwest
Next up was my Estes America #2

30th flight this year

Estes Hijax
on a Quest B6-4 for its 8th flight

Time at Liftoff::

18:20:42

Flight Duration in Seconds: 36
Landing Distance in feet from the pad: 203 West northwest
My Estes Hijax was next on a Quest B6-4 for a nice boost, but a hard landing on the paved oval.  No damage though.

Flight#
771

31st flight this year

Estes SM-3 Seahawk
on an Estes D12-5 for its 9th flight

Time at Liftoff::

18:28:24

Flight Duration in Seconds: 27

Last for the day was my SM-3 Seahawk lifting off my Big Foot #2 pad on a D12-5.
