Contest for the volunteers:
To encourage
people to volunteer their time for launch operations, we will
be giving away a prize during a draw at the end of the launch.
Each completed
shift will give you the occasion to put your name into the basket.
If you register in advanced for shifts before the end of April
by Email, you will have an extra ticket for each shift completed.
If you are interested to volunteer, please contact yves.lacombe@zone-51.org or call (514) 808-3457. More
information in the "BECOMING A VOLUNTEER" section.
BECOMING A VOLUNTEER ...
Visit
the Area-51 wiki and indicate to us which shifts interest
you. We will try to collect all shift requests, collate them (as
fairly as possible) and will tell you which ones were attributed
to whom. First come, First Served!
We need field
volunteers to fill work shifts. The positions available are listed
below:
LCO: "Launch Control Officer"
RI: "Rocket Inspector"
PM: "Pad Manager"
You will find a detailed description of the tasks following this
link:
http://www.canadianrocketry.org/range_job_desc.php
Note that
if you do not have any experience, we will team you up with someone
who has experience. For the RI position, you need to be certified
level 1. We will also provide you with all the documentation
needed to eventually obtain an official RI certification with
the Canadian Association of Rocketry. |
